The director of Baldur 3 was worried that the process was too short, and the official version deleted a lot of content

Larian's Baldur's Gate 3, released last year, has undoubtedly achieved great success, winning numerous awards including the TGA Award, Golden Joystick Award, and DICE Award. Its huge and detailed world has been particularly well received, but Larian boss Swen Vincke recently revealed in an interview that he was very worried that the game process might be too short.

In an interview with BAFTA, Swen Vincke revealed that the original plan for Baldur's Gate 3 was to be larger in scale, but all the planned content was deleted. For example, there were once two Moonrise Towers designed in the game, but only one was retained in the official version.

"The reason we removed the extra tower was purely for production reasons," Vincke said. "The game was getting too big, so we had to cut it out. I'll admit that even the final version of Baldur 3 was big, but there were a lot of locations that were cut out, which made me worried about the length of the game. But as we all know, I'm not a very good judge of length."
