Tools Guide - All Unlockable Tools and How to Upgrade
Consumable Tools can be used by Basim to produce unique effects such as reducing vision or damaging enemies from afar in Assassin's Creed Mirage (AC Mirage). See a list of all Tools, how to upgrade your tools, and what you need to do to unlock more tools!

Throwing Knife

| A light knife balanced for throwing at short distances. Can be improved with better materials and alchemical properties. | |
A throwing knife allows you to deal damage at enemies from a short distance. In previous Assassin's Creed games, you can use multiple throwing knives to assassinate enemies from a distance.
You can upgrade this tool to extend its range, carrying capacity, and its effect when used at an enemy.
Torch

The Torch is the first tool you obtain in Assassin's Creed Mirage. It will appear by default once you have access to the tool wheel menu.
You can use the torch to navigate in dark areas such as caves and tombs. Unlike the rest of the tools, the torch cannot be upgraded.
Blowdart

Using a Blowdart allows you to put an enemy to sleep for a short period of time. This comes in handy if you prefer a non-lethal stealth playstyle.
You can also modify the blowdart to cause poison or berserk at an enemy.
Noisemaker

Noisemaker is a non-lethal tool that lets you direct an enemy at a specific area and distract them for a short period of time. You can upgrade this tool to turn it into a lethal weapon.
Smoke Bomb

The Smoke Bomb deploys a red cloud of smoke that obscures an enemy's vision, allowing you to escape from combat or pass through a restricted area. You can upgrade it further to use it for attack or defense.
Trap

You can use the Trap to deploy a non-lethal explosion that knocks enemies down. You can upgrade this tool further to make it deadly.
How to Upgrade Tools
Collect Resources to Unlock an Upgrade Tier
You can use the resources that you have collected such as Steel Ingots, Leather, and Components to upgrade your Tools. You can upgrade your tools any time by talking to the Banu Musa brothers.
Each tool comes with 3 upgrade tiers that you unlock to add additional perks to the tool.
Note that you can apply one tool upgrade for each tier unless you have the Engineer skill which allows you to choose 2 Tier 1 tool upgrade.
How to Get Tools
Unlock After Assassinating The Slaver
You unlock the first tool slot when you speak to Ibn Musa at the Hidden Ones' Bureau after assassinating The Slaver during the main story.
Unlock Using Extra Tool Capacity Skills
You can unlock the rest of the tools when you spend Skill Points on the Extra Tool Capacity skills on the Trickster Skill Tree.
Extra Tool Capacity is Locked Through Story Progression
While unlocking numerous tools will always be desirable, this is unfortunately, not immediately possible. If you want to unlock more tools, just gathering the necessary skill points is not enough. You also have to progress the main story first to gain the option to gain the opportunity to unlock these skills.
You Can Unlock All Tools Eventually
All the tools will be unlockable as you progress through the game. However, not all tools are made equally and some tools are clearly more superior or useful than the other.
