How to Dye Outfits
All Outfit Dyes are tied to an outfit in the game. In order to apply an outfit dye to an outfit, you need to find the Outfit that's tied to an Outfit Dye first and equip it on Basim.
Here are the steps you can follow if you want to dye Basim's outfit:
- Find an Outfit
- Find the Outfit's Outfit Dye
- Equip the Outfit from the Outfit Menu
- Select an Outfit Dye from the Outfit Dye Menu
1. Find an Outfit
Since Outfit Dyes are tied to an outfit, the first thing you need to do before you can dye an outfit is, well, find an outfit!
You can find outfits by looting gear chests in the different regions of Baghdad or by finishing missions and contracts in the game.
2. Find the Outfit's Outfit Dye
Once you have your desired outfit, you need to find its outfit dye next.
You can do so by solving the many enigmas in the game or by buying them from merchants.
3. Equip the Outfit From the Outfit Menu
Next, you need to go to your Inventory Menu and equip the outfit that you have a dye for. Doing so will allow you to preview what the outfit looks like with an outfit dye.
4. Select an Outfit Dye From the Outfit Dye Menu
Finally, go to the Outfit Dye Menu and choose an outfit dye that you have for the outfit that you recently equipped.
How to Get Outfit Dyes
Outfit Dyes can change the way Basim looks in his current outfit. This gives you the chance to customize how he looks without removing his current outfit's perk!
Here are the ways you can obtain the different Outfit Dyes in the game:
Solve Enigmas
Plenty of the Outfit Dyes can be obtained by solving Enigmas scattered all throughout Baghdad. Enigmas are puzzles and riddle collectibles that you need to solve to find a treasure location.
Solving an Enigma will reward you with either an Outfit Dye or a Talisman.

Purchase From Merchants
Some Outfit Dyes can be purchased from a merchant in exchange for Dirham. If you have Merchant Favor Tokens, you can even ask a merchant for a permanent discount when you buy from their store.
Keep an eye out for pouches that you can pickpocket to get enough money for the outfit dyes you want to buy!

Some Outfit Dyes can only be obtained by buying them from the Animus Store. Be sure to link your game to Ubisoft Connect to be able to access other Outfit Dyes you can't get in-game!
