Use an Elixir

To heal when Bassim's injured, you can use a consumable called the Elixir. The Elixir can be used by pressing the down arrow on the D-Pad. This is however, only a consumable, so use it sparingly!
Pick Up Food
You can also pick up food from containers to heal. Unlike the Elixir, you will automatically use up the food when picking it up and cannot be stored for later use.
You Cannot Pick Up Food If Your Health is Full
Note that you cannot pick up food from containers if your health is full. A notifcation will appear in the middle of the screen to indicate this.
Wear the Abbasid Knight Outfit
Certain outfits allow you to heal without using an Elixir. An example is the Abbasid Knight Outfit, which lets you regenerate health every 2 seconds while unseen and heals up to 50% of maximum health.
Fully upgrading this outfit allows you to heal up to 100% of your health.
How to Get Abbasid Knight Outfit
Equid the Sand Sword and Dagger
The Sand Sword that you can obtain from purchasing the Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Pack of the game lets you regenerate 20% of Health if you kill an enemy while time has slowed down. The Dagger will slow time down after a parry where you can use the sword's effect ro regain HP!
Where to Get Elixirs
Purchase from Traders
You can purchase up to two Elixirs from Traders in Baghdad and they cost 30 Dirham each.
Spend Merchant Favor Tokens to Reduce Prices
You can use the Merchant Favor Tokens to reduce the prices of all trader's items up to 30%. This allows you to purchase Elixirs at a lower price.
Loot from Containers
There is also a chance that you can obtain Elixirs from containers. Use Eagle Vision to find the containers that are highlighted with a white glow.
