Using blunt melee weapons is the primary way to level up your Solo skill. You can equip hammers, clubs, or even use your fists to kill your targets and quickly level up Solo.
If you don't want to include a melee weapon in one of your three weapon slots, you can also equip Gorilla Arms as your arms cyberware.
Gorilla Arms counts as a melee weapon, and even gets powered up by the Jailbreak and Limiter Removal Relic skills. This way, you'll still be able to wield guns and still have a melee weapon on the side.
Using heavy weapons like shotguns and light machine guns will count toward leveling up your Solo skill. These weapons rely on your Body attribute just like melee weapons, so you can use this as an alternate ranged weapon for melee builds.
