Monster Hunter fans are being treated to more than just Monster Hunter Wilds, as the latest news confirms. Monster Hunter Outlanders, a new addition to the series from Capcom and TiMi Studio Group, is coming to mobile platforms across the globe.
The announcement trailer that just released shows off a more traditional style of gameplay than Monster Hunter Now, the other mobile game from the franchise. This trailer shows off a massive open world that players can explore, survive in, and, of course, hunt some impressive beasts.
The game will be available for free to all players, on both iOS and Android systems. There will be in-game purchases available for players as well, however, it is currently unknown what these purchases will be and how much they’ll cost.
The trailer shows off an impressive world for players to join with a variety of different biomes, which is no small feat for mobile. Better yet, the game will be fully multiplayer, where you can join in up to a party of four players. Team up with your friends or strangers to go on hunts together and enjoy the in-depth weapons system that features all your favorites from the mainline titles.
Players can also explore the land solo while taking advantage of a glider that lets you easily traverse from spot to spot quicker than on foot. You’ll be able to craft a wide assortment of gear, tools, and more from items you’ve gathered to make surviving the dangerous land much more likely.
There are plenty of companions that will join players on your quest, from the familiar Felyne seen in the mainline titles to new additions. You’ll also meet a wide array of other NPC hunters who can join you or control you to take advantage of different fighting styles.
Unfortunately, we don’t have an official release date for the game yet. TiMi Studio Group has confirmed that they plan to conduct several playtests before the final release, though, which you can sign up for news at on the official website. More information on the betas and playtests will be made public as the game continues in development.
TiMi is no stranger to bringing other massive franchises to mobile, such as Pokémon with Pokémon Unite and Call of Duty with Call of Duty Mobile. Monster Hunter is just the next addition to an impressive lineup from the studio.
Capcom is also gearing up for the release of Monster Hunter Wilds this coming February, which will be released on consoles to fans everywhere. This new mobile title will only kick up more hype for the franchise and get players excited.
