Barbeloth or "B" is a mage of Hexenzirkel who practices Hydromancy and Astrology. She's considered to be both friend and rival to Alice, the circle's Elder and Klee's mom.

Barbeloth is Mona Megistus' teacher, whom she often refers to as "Old Hag". Barbeloth tasked Mona to go to Mondstadt to retrieve an item from Klee, which eventually turned out to be her diary that contains a significant portion of her youth.

And perhaps, it is because of reverence and fear that forced Mona to stay in Mondstadt, after accidentally reading the contents of Barbeloth's diary.

Simulanka's Goddess of Prophecy

Barbeloth also assisted in the creation of Simulanka along with fellow mages Alice and M, serving as the world's Goddess of Prophecy.

Her role was to create a possible goal that its inhabitants would try to fulfill, telling them that the Hero of Simulanka would soon come into the world to defeat the Evil Dragon, and to prepare for their coming.

During the Event Quest, They Once Walked the Starry Sky, the Traveler and their companions needed to reach the top of Constellation Metropole to commune with the Goddess of Prophecy regarding the fate of this world.
